Safety first: Crow builds a nest from iron wires in Sullia

These wires are used for centering work. This unique sight was available at the campus of Bhagawan Satyasai educational institute at Chokkadi. When the school authorities tried to clear the anthill on the tree that was in a precarious condition, labourers came across two nests of iron wires. In one of them, a crow was living, while the other one was empty.

It is suspected that the crow, which is considered to be an intelligent bird of this globe, might have used the iron strings as it could make out that a nest made of iron wires lasts longer compared to a wooden one.

The nests are kept safely in the science laboratory in the school for exhibition. Some say that this is a warning for human beings who are busy destroying the forests.
