Pili Parba 2022 a massive hit: Crowds leave wanting more of it

Kudlada Pili Parba 2022 organised by Kudla Samskritika Pratishtana and conceptualised by Mangalore Loksabha MP Nalin Kumar Kateen and Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath was well received by participants and the crowds. Polali Tigers emerged as winners of First Edition.

Mangalore: Conceptualised by Mangalore Loksabha MP Nalin Kumar Kateen and Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath and organised under the banner of Kudla Samskritika Prathistana – Pili Parba 2022 was a massive hit. It attracted viewership equally in the venue, television and online broadcasts. What was acclaimed by the viewers is the young kids and specially girls doning as pili’s (Tigers).

Of the 12 teams participated, Polali Tigers emerged as the winners of the first edition of Pili Parba. Team Kalicharan Friends and Nandigudde friends were declared as the first and second runners up respectively. Mangalore South MLA Vedevyas Kamath lead the event throughout the day along with two other anchors. Mangalore Loksabha MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and District in-charge minister Sunil Kumar too actively supported the events in their capacity. Dignitaries from different organisation and Tulu cinema graced the ocassion.

Under individual categories, below were the list of winners:

There were eight individual prizes won in the follow categories: Parbadha Pili – Tuluver Kudla Sri Rama Cricketrs, Appe Pili Gobbu – Polali Tigers, Kinni Pili – Mulihitlu Friends Circle, Black Tiger – Kodikal Vishal Tigers, Rang – Kalicharan Friends, Mudi Haakunet – Nandigudde Friends, Thaase – Kodialbail Friends and Neatness – Jai Sharadamba Team, Purkodi.

The crowd both offline and online were equally kept engaged by the organisers through quizzes and reeling videos from the event. Participants and localites expressed their appreciation that such attempts in preserving our culture and tradition is commendable. People are already looking forward for the next edition.
